Interested in learning more about the spring birds in Douglas County? Join us at Lincoln Mountain Open Space for a hike along Cherry Creek under large Cottonwoods and then up into the Pine and Oak forest along the ridgeline. Discover different habitats that are home or shelter to a variety of interesting birds. Beautiful views along this 4.5 mile loop trail.

Remember to bring binoculars and a cell phone, if you’d like to download the free Merlin Bird ID app from the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Dress for the weather. Bring water and a snack. Guides: Jody Walker, David Walker and Curt Frankenfeld.

For this hike, please leave your canine friend at home. We love dogs and we like to see them on the trail. However, we also like to see and hear birds. The birds may not love dogs quite as much as we do. Thanks!
