Surprise Earth Day Hike at Dawson Butte Open Space
April 22, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
In celebration of Earth Day, Douglas Land Conservancy is offering the first of four “surprise” hikes. Periodically throughout the year, DLC will be hosting a guided hike for a limited amount of people. These hikes will be offered with short notice to those on our email list. We hope that you can join us for a smaller, more private outing with our expert guides.
If you are unable to attend Friday’s Earth Day hike, be on the lookout for other upcoming events!
The hike will be a great chance to see how last weekend’s snow storm has “greened up” the outdoors.
We will meet in the main parking lot off Tomah Road and leave from the trail head. Bring plenty of water, sun protection and dress for the weather. Picnic tables are available near the parking lot. Pack a lunch for after the hike if you wish.
The loop trail is approximately 5 miles long, and rated moderately easy.
Space is limited. Our hikes fill quickly. If the event is full, please contact Amy Graziano at [email protected] or 303.688.8025 to be added to the wait list.
The hike is free, but a $10 per person donation to DLC is suggested.
