Spring is here. If you are dreaming of your garden, join DLC and our partners at Denver Audubon for this presentation!

Go ahead and get to WILDSCAPING!
Understanding the complexities of wild bird diets will help attract a more diverse collection of birds to your backyard landscape. Utilizing native plant choices, Denver Audubon will guide you through the process of designing a wildlife habitat, including the potential to certify through the Habitat Hero program offered through our partner organization, Audubon Rockies.

This is the first time DLC has offered this program. We hope you can join us!    Register Now

Douglas Land Conservancy offers programs such as Wildscaping 101: Native Plants for Birds to the community free of charge as a part of our outreach. We do suggest a $10 per person or $20 per family donation, so that we may continue providing educational programs.

The presenter for Wildscaping 101: Native Plants for Birds will be Kate Hogan, Community Outreach Coordinator for Denver Audubon. Kate is the Community Outreach Coordinator for Denver Audubon, whose mission is to “inspire actions that protect birds, other wildlife, and their habitats through education, conservation, and research”. She manages the Audubon Nature Center and Native Plant Gardens at Chatfield State Park, in addition to maintaining and growing community partnerships, and sharing her love of local wildlife and native plants with others through our outreach presentations and events.
