NATURAL DOUGLAS COUNTY PHOTO CONTEST

Submit your photographs beginning Nov. 1st for Douglas Land Conservancy’s photo contest

Landscapes, wildlife or any other natural feature of Douglas County are eligible as subjects for the contest. Each week’s Wildlife Wednesday winners will be automatically entered and will not count toward a photographer’s submission limit. We hope to receive photographs from across the county, depicting a variety of seasons and subjects.

We’re changing up the contest this year! After the submission deadline has closed on December 6th, DLC Board and Staff members will narrow it down to 25 photos. The final contenders will be posted on Facebook, with the winning 5 photos receiving the highest number of likes.

To ensure eligibility for the contest, please submit files no larger than 20MB at the time of entry. Higher resolution files will be requested should an entry be selected as a winner. All photographs should accurately reflect the subject matter and the scene as it appeared. Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified. Photographers will receive acknowledgment for any use of their work. Photographs and photographers may be recognized in DLC communications.

Entries must be submitted electronically in a .JPEG .jpg, or.png form and will be accepted via e-mail beginning no earlier than November 1st.

All photos must be taken in Douglas County, CO

All entries must be full color

Panoramic photos will NOT be accepted

Each photographer is limited to 5 submissions

Remove watermarks before submitting

Entries should include metadata if at all possible
