Our first mountain bike ride of the season is finally here!

We are expanding the mountain bike program this year and will be offering a guided ride at a different open space each month. This ride at Hidden Mesa is appropriate for all levels, beginner to advanced. In addition to the ride, a few fundamental bike riding skills will be covered. Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and safety check of helmet and bike (you must wear a helmet to participate!) Other gear you may want: knee-high socks, knee and elbow pads, sunglasses, water in a riding backpack, and gloves.

Registration is limited. The ride is open to 15 years and up. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Where: Hidden Mesa Open Space, Upper Parking Lot #2

When: Tuesday, April 16th, 10am-12pm

You can register here.

Meet your guides:

Jay Poules, a Castle Rock resident, is a life-long cyclist and enjoys riding the trails throughout Douglas County on the many open space properties we are fortunate to enjoy, with this Guided Mountain Bike program focused on properties that Douglas Land Conservancy holds the conservation easement for. Come join us!

Larkspur resident Kimberly Klus desires to encourage and ride with new mountain bike riders. She likes to explore all of DLC’s protected open spaces on wheels and learn about the early history of this land. Mostly she is thankful to live and ride in the foothills of Colorado!
