VOLUNTEER
Current volunteers must attend Volunteer Kickoff and submit an updated DLC Volunteer Packet bi-annually, though you’re welcome to attend every year! We look forward to seeing many of you at a 2026 Kickoff.
The success of Douglas Land Conservancy depends largely on our wonderful volunteers. However, all work and no play is not DLC’s idea of volunteering! Although DLC benefits greatly from the support of our volunteers, we want to make new friends, learn new things, and have fun. We are also an accredited Service Enterprise organization, signifying that we have the capability and management expertise to strategically engage community members and volunteers to improve the performance of our organization, and accomplish our mission of protecting and conserving land in perpetuity.
We could use your help in 2026…
- Hike Guides*
- Photography
- Admin/office support
- Fundraising/sponsorships
- Silent Auction/event planning
- Property cleanups
- Community Outreach/tabling
- Colorado Bluebird Project* (partner program with DCOSNR)
Other possible opportunities, depending on need:
- Hike Assists
- Communications Committee
- Grants Committee
- Easement Monitors*
