ANNUAL PHOTO CONTEST
Showcasing the natural beauty of our region through photography
The winning photo will be the cover of our 2025 Annual Report and used throughout 2026 in various digital and print marketing materials. The top 5 runners-up will also be used in DLC marketing materials. The winning photo and runners-up will be printed as notecards and offered for donation at DLC events throughout the year. Landscapes, wildlife, or any other natural feature of Douglas, Elbert, or Jefferson County are eligible as subjects for the contest.
The photo contest will open for submissions on Wednesday, October 29 at 8:00 am MST, and close to new submissions on Wednesday, November 12 at 8:00 am MST. DLC Staff will review all submissions blindly (no name associated with photo) and narrow the contest down to 25 photos. The final 25 will then be posted on DLC’s Facebook page and voting will begin Monday, November 17 at 8:00 am MST. Similar to Wildlife Wednesday, the photos will be ranked by the number of “likes” or “hearts” on the image. Voting will close at 10:00 am MST on Thursday, November 20 and the winner will be announced that evening.
**Important Note: The Google Form requires you to sign into your Google (Gmail) account to upload files for your submission. If you do not have a Google account, please email your photos, their titles/general locations, and your contact information to kstabell@douglaslandconservancy.org with the subject “DLC Photo Contest Submission.”
Submit your photographs beginning Oct. 29 for Douglas Land Conservancy’s annual photo contest
