NATURAL NOTECARD CONTEST

Landscapes, wildlife or any other natural feature of Douglas County are eligible as subjects for the contest. We hope to receive photographs from across the county, depicting a variety of seasons and subjects.

Winners will have their images printed as high-quality note cards. Cards will be sold as a fundraiser for the nonprofit, Douglas Land Conservancy. Select photographs may be enlarged, matted, framed, and auctioned at an event as a fundraiser for DLC. Photographers will receive acknowledgment for any use of their work. Photographs and photographers may be recognized at an upcoming event.

To ensure eligibility for the contest, please submit files no larger than 20MB at the time of entry. Higher resolution files will be requested should an entry be selected as a winner. All photographs should accurately reflect the subject matter and the scene as it appeared. Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified.

Entries must be submitted electronically in a .JPEG .jpg, or.png form and will be accepted via e-mail or mail on a flash drive.

All photos must be taken in Douglas County, CO

All entries must be landscape orientation

All entries must be full color

Panoramic photos will NOT be accepted

Each photographer is limited to 10 submissions

Remove watermarks before submitting

Entries should include metadata if at all possible.

Caption information should include:

• Location (ex: South Douglas County or Columbine Open Space, etc.)
• City
• Title
• Photographer’s name and contact information
• A Release Form is required with submitted photos (one form per person).
