Join DLC and watercolor teacher Jody Walker to watercolor some woodpeckers!

This time of year they might not be your favorite bird when they’re giving you an early morning wakeup call by pounding on your house. But out in the woods, there’s something pretty special about the sound of a woodpecker knocking.
We’ll learn a bit about four of our most frequently seen native woodpeckers. And use watercolor to paint them (in flight) using a blowing technique on the wings and tail.

Each participant will take home a special painting to keep or share. Painting supplies and materials are provided, but you’re always welcome to bring your own paints and brushes too. Please do bring a water vessel and paint rag, and we ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early so that we can get started on time.

Where: Louviers Village Club

When: Wednesday, April 17th, 10am-12pm
