We are excited to announce the inaugural year of Douglas Land Conservancy’s Oak Leaf Symposium this fall — our annual Oak Leaf event reimagined, vision-oriented, and more engaging than ever.
This annual event has long served as a meaningful gathering to recognize those making a difference in local land conservation. In 2025, we’re expanding the experience with a focused educational symposium built around a theme inspired by our to-be-announced Oak Leaf Award honoree: The Power of Volunteerism for Lasting Conservation Impact.
In addition to our traditional awards ceremony honoring outstanding local conservation heroes, the event will now feature:
- A compelling keynote speaker exploring how grassroots engagement fuels enduring environmental change
- Two dynamic breakout sessions offering insights and strategies from experienced land stewards and strategic volunteer leaders
- Thoughtful opportunities for networking, learning, and community-building among peers in conservation over a delicious catered lunch
Whether you’re a long-time supporter, a first-time volunteer, or a professional working to protect Colorado’s natural heritage, this is an event designed to inform, inspire, and ignite continued action. We invite you to save the date, help us spread the word, and look forward to celebrating the many hands behind impactful conservation efforts. Stay tuned into our email newsletters and social media as we’ll be announcing our award winners and presenters early this summer! Standard tickets, priced at $65 each, will go on sale September 5 at 8:00 am. DLC Volunteers will receive an email with an access code to purchase discounted tickets.
