Douglas Land Conservancy hosted our first volunteer Stewardship Workday at a private conserved property in Douglas County! Land protection work doesn’t end when the property is conserved. It’s an enduring responsibility of DLC to ensure the conservation values of the properties we protect remain intact. That means a lasting commitment to the land and to the landowners who partner with us. We’re excited to continue supporting our conservation partners in shared stewardship efforts across more than 28,000 acres of protected lands in Douglas, Elbert, and Jefferson Counties. A big thank-you to the volunteers that joined us for your enthusiasm and hard work, especially in this heat.
