OAK LEAF SYMPOSIUM

2025 Oak Leaf Symposium

November 13, 10am-3pm | PACE Center, Parker, CO

Each year, DLC presents the Oak Leaf Award to a regional conservation hero. This year’s recipient is an exceptional volunteer and a steadfast advocate for open spaces and conservation across the Front Range. We also recognize outstanding land stewardship with the Mel Sorensen Stewardship Award. Our 2025 honoree has led and expanded the DLC/DCOSNR Colorado Bluebird Project team for nearly a decade.

Traditionally celebrated with a dinner and reception, this year’s awards will be part of a half-day educational symposium inspired by Brian’s chosen theme: volunteerism. The inaugural Oak Leaf Symposium is open to conservation professionals, DLC volunteers, and the public. The program includes a keynote by Beth Steinhorn of VQ Volunteer Strategies and breakout sessions led by Beth and volunteer experts from Jefferson County Open Space. We’ll conclude with lunch and an awards ceremony for our honorees, whose dedication exemplifies our mission of land conservation and stewardship. Standard tickets, priced at $65 each, will go on sale September 5 at 8:00 am. DLC Volunteers will receive an email with an access code to purchase discounted tickets. We look forward to seeing you at our Oak Leaf Symposium in November!
